Providing a 13.4 SEER2 efficiency with a single stage, reciprocating compressor, the GLXS3BN3010 is an inexpensive condenser to cool your home when paired with an AC coil. In an ideal climate situation, the GLXS3BN3010 can usually cover a small to medium house. For this unit to function, an indoor air handler or coil is required, and this unit is cooling only with no heating capacity on its own. 13.4 SEER2 The Goodman GLXS3BN3010 AC condenser is designed to be 13.4 SEER2. This is the lowest efficiency on the market today, making it an inexpensive option for northern states. Please note that this product is regulated by DOE Efficiency Standards. Due to efficiency requirements, this unit cannot be installed in the following states: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia. Warranty The GLXS3BN3010 condenser comes with Goodman's standard 10 year parts warranty with online registration through the manufacturer. An installation that follows your state and local codes is required for the warranty to be upheld. The output of this furnace is 48,000 BTU’s, which is calculated by the input times the 80% efficiency rating. 80% Efficiency Rating With the industry standard efficiency of 80% AFUE, the GMVC800603BN Goodman gas furnace uses 80% of the fuel going into the furnace to heat your home and the remaining 20% of the fuel going into it is used up in normal furnace operations and is lost out of the flue venting. The GMVC800603BN requires metal flue venting like any 80% efficient furnace, while anything 90% and above would require plastic or PVC venting.
